Pulau Ubin

It was a rocky ride in the bumboat over to Pulau Ubin. Luke thinks we could have one of these boats in Hawea, big enough for the two of us to live on....an interesting thought to entertain if only for a moment.

We went for a short wander and then the heavens opened, so we did the only sensible thing to do at 11.50am we headed to the nearest shop with umbrellas and sat down for a beer and peanuts :-)

Once the rain eased off, we hiked one of the wetlands tracks, saw some very impressive spiders. Luke took a moment to have a wee Spider-Man fantasy, we all enjoyed watching him jump when it moved towards him unexpectedly. It was seriously huge, easily the size of your palm. Shame the web pics didn't turn out well.

We also went to the Changi prison museum, quite depressing.  Being in holiday mode still it's too difficult to organise my thoughts on that in any coherent way.

  1. These birds look like super genius birds, how do you train a bird to do anything! Pretty awesome. Don't feel too bad about placing tigers above birds, maybe if these birds had the ability to eat us you would feel worse too. Just doesn't seem right to tame something so deadly but a bird, well it sort of is funny. Hope it was a great show! Looking like you four are having lots of fun. Missing you here!
